The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
The Bonus
TabTrade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
